The 5 stars reviews for this place is well deserved.
I came here for the first time yesterday and was thoroughly happy with the service I received. The young lady taking our order was very pleasant and patient. She made great recommendations and I appreciated her friendliness.
Our sandwiches were excellent. The donuts were delicious. They even offer jumbo sized ones!
I ordered a frappe and in my opinion, it tasted way better than the kind I usually get from Starbucks.
Uncle Benny's donuts is a great place to stop on the way to golden gate park or the beach. It's also decent and has plenty of space to sit down and eat too. -

Super solid quick stop for coffee and a donut! They have an awesome little coffee bar selection to choose from, as well as a wide assortment of donuts. I wish I went with one of there little donut sandwich concoctions per the suggestion of the very friendly cashier this morning. However, I went with my usual "maple bacon". NO I'm not Canadian, but damn is that combination good or what?
Anyways, the coffee was tasty (I chose the organic Italian roast), and the maple bacon donut hit the spot. It was a nice little cap to breakfast after crushing the free glazed donut that came with my yelp check-in (I basically inhaled that before even getting situated in the car). These donuts aren't otherworldly or anything, but they definitely satisfy the craving! Let's talk price... Two donuts and a large coffee for $5. That's definitely pocket friendly compared to some of the *cough* bigger names around the city.
(The maple bacon didn't stand a chance at a picture) -

Uncle Benny makes awesome donuts! They're fluffy and not overly sweet. Review of each donut:
- Glazed regular (raised donut) - My go-to order. Just the right amount of sweetness and is nice and fluffy!
- Maple (raised) - The glaze has great maple flavor on top of a raised donut. If you're into maple, get this.
- Sugar (raised) - Funnily, not sweet enough
- Custard - I like this a lot. Custard isn't overly sweet, compliments the base well! Custard is piped in versus sandwiched. (I saw some red jam donuts that were just cut in half, it looked like a jam donut sandwich.) -

Uncle Ben is doing something right in that kitchen...
Ordered 2 bagel sandwiches and an apple fritter as my Sunday morning hangover came to a tipping point. Bagel was absolutely delicious, perfectly toasted brown.
The fritter was off the hook and they also gave me 2 complimentary donuts with my order - score one for the boys back home.
Good spot. -

Got a bacon egg and cheese bagel sandwich for breakfast for almost $9 which I think is waaay too much for an average breakfast sandwich. The egg had too much black pepper, it was overpowering. The bacon and the everything bagel were good tho! If I'm in a rush and need to grab a quick breakfast maybe I'd come back but it's nothing special! I will however go back to try the donuts !
